It is almost time once again for National Donut Day on Friday June 7th 2024. National Donut Day started in 1938 as a fundraiser for the Salvation Army. Their goal was to help those in need during the Great Depression, and honor the Salvation Army “Lassies”, otherwise known as volunteers who traveled over seas during World War 1 and served Donuts to soldiers to brighten their spirits during wartime.
This tradition of celebrating this “Recession Proof” treat reminds us that the simple act of making and giving out Donuts can to bring so much joy.
At Mighty-O we recognize the importance of volunteering and giving. We donate year round to Non-Profit Organizations, 501-C3’s, Schools and Educational Institutions, Hospitals and Healthcare and to our greater Community! We appreciate those individuals and institutions of service and their willingness to make a difference in the lives of others.
Even though this event was inspired during wartime we can still honor those in service in our community and celebrate them.
Giving is Sweet, and it’s a joy we take very seriously at Mighty-O. Welcome you to create your own traditions around service and giving.
